As a researcher specializing in human visual perception, I focus on improving visual computing technologies using the knowledge of how humans see. My research interests span several areas, including the development of computational models of human vision, perceptually-driven image and video quality metrics, gaze-contingent approaches to rendering, High Dynamic Range imaging techniques, and the applications of generative deep learning for graphics.
I have held an assistant professor position at the University of Groningen between February 2022 and January 2026. Before that, I conducted postgraduate research Max Planck Institute for Informatics (MPII), Germany, under Prof. Karol Myszkowski, and at Università della Svizzera italiana (USI), Switzerland, under Prof. Piotr Didyk.
