About Me

I am an assistant professor of computing science at the University of Groningen since February 2022. I have been working on visual perception and its applications to visual computing. My research interests include

Before my current position, I conducted my postgraduate research at Max Planck Institute for Informatics (MPII), Germany, as a postdoc under Prof. Karol Myszkowski, and in Università della Svizzera italiana (USI), Switzerland, under Prof. Piotr Didyk. I worked on formulating perceptual models of the human visual system, designing and running perceptual experiments, conducting statistical analysis of psychophysical data, and calibration of perceptual models. My research is centered around understanding human visual perception and proposing creative solutions to bottlenecks and issues observed in contemporary applications of computer graphics and computer vision.

I am passionate about pushing the boundaries of vision research and visual computing by exploring its practical applications in real-world settings with industry partners. If you are interested in potential partnerships in developing cutting-edge technologies, addressing critical industry challenges, and contributing to impactful research advancements, please do not hesitate to contact me.
